Youth stand for Turkey's fight against violence, extremism, terrorism, radicalization

P2P Contest Among University Students

A contest will be organized among university students, urging student clubs from universities in different cities in Turkey to develop applied projects to reduce youth vulnerability to radicalization. Given the vulnerability of the youth to radical propaganda, P2P contest will empower interested youth to tackle with this phenomenon. Through seed funding, the project will allow them to develop ideas and carry out CVE projects on awareness-raising, counter-narratives, etc.

Execution: The P2P contest will be launched with a call for applications from the student clubs to design research and visibility projects directed at CVE efforts. Following the pre-selection by the organizers, 7 groups composed of 4 people will be provided with USD 1.000 seed funding. These groups will be requested to carry out their projects and to present them in the competition, which will be organized in TOBB Economics and Technology University, Ankara. The winners will be announced and their projects described at the project web site and also the conclusion workshop.

Expected outcome: P2P contest will bring the youth together and raise awareness among them, as well as allowing them to develop applied projects in their own circles.
